This was an Opportunity to share individual’s stories through the Spoken Word.
Alcott board member Rachel Asbury and Performance Artist Ryan McCord-Bay performed short monologues. See Rachel and Ryan perform LIVE in the Flying Asbini's Traveling Side Show Arts-Travaganza on May 21st and 22nd at the Alcott Arts Center, A Fundraiser for the center.
Speaking Out, Empowerment Through Spoken Word
at the YWCA in Kansas City, Kansas This event was sponsored and presented by MOCSA and the YWCA of Kansas City. There were performance pieces done throughout the night by a number other performers. Each ...having their own outlook on empowerment, some were even written by prison inmates, these were read by Patrick Alexander and provided through Arts In Prison (a local not for profit charity). This was a very powerful and moving event, something everyone should be involved with next year. The Performers were Rachel Asbury, Alexandra Burgers, Brittany Edwards, Carlotta Lewis, Ryan McCord-Bey, Patrick Alexander. with Alcott and presented an Improv
Workshop for the girls. Check out the fun they all
had learning how to be Flying
Monkeys.

Parking Lot IV “ Much Ado
