2010 brought about a partnership for Alcott with the KC Horror Club during our favorite time of the year, Halloween! As many of you know Alcott has had Pumpkin Carving and Craft classes for many years. This year KCHC has joined in on the fun and excitement. They offered an afternoon of games and activities to area children. Cartoonist Darryl Woods set up his table to draw characatures of the children, Horror Club members demonstrated how to put on zombie make-up and make seasonal crafts. Greeting the children we had Pippi Longstockings showing the party goers where the activities were located. A Zombie Pirate was seen coaxing the “little pretties” in for food and a spin around the cakewalk numbers for a chance at the delicious baked goods. Linus was spotted in the Theater organizing a eyeball relay race with the winner receiving a ghoulish prize. Thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to a repeat again in 2011.
