Dejah Joyce is a fictional Author and Artist and is a student at KCKCC. She has released her e- book “The Day and Life of Akai”. Legend has it that an HBCU was in Kansas City, Kansas. Long ago, a prestigious black institution called Western University created some of the brightest students entertainers and entrepreneurs, until its decline in 1943. Today, it rises and a new face by the name of Akai comes in as a college freshman. Join this journey as she takes you along her life and finds out the hidden ancestry and Kansas experiences.
