Concert Violinist Matthew Bennett Benefit Performance

We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting a Concert Series this season. Our first concert will be a benefit for Alcott entitled "Virtuosity in Improvisational". Matthew Bennett a Concert Violinist will hold 2 Solo performances at the Alcott on June 10, 2017 @ 7pm and June 11@ 2pm. 

Matthew is a Hometown product of the KCK USD500 public school system giving back to KCK with his incredible talent. A Sumner School of the Arts and Science Graduate Matthew has gained in leaps and bounds through his continued education. This year, Matthew has helped start the Piper Chamber Orchestra and looks forward to performing as a concerto soloist at the opening concert.

Tickets for the Alcott Benefit are $20 each. You can purchase tickets for this Benefit online at Brown Paper Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2953974 there is an service charge of $1.69 for the online tickets.You can also reserve your tickets by calling Alcott and paying at the door with cash or check only. This concert is sponsored by the Wyandotte Women's Giving Society of Kansas City, Kansas and the KC Studio Magazine.

Matthew a KCK native brings a joyful dedication to his work in orchestral music, the avant- garde, music education, and historical research. At an early age he began his career with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, feeling inspired as he walked across the concert hall he knew that he belonged there. He wants to share with you his talent so he will perform for us on the Violin musical pieces from several styles of music. Baroque, Classical, Jazz, Contemporary and Polish Folk Dance explaining each piece as he goes. 

This concert will be held in the Alcott Theater on the top floor of the building. The Alcott Arts Center is NOT ADA Accessible, sorry for any inconvenience.
