August 10th Second Saturday Art Exhibitions 2019

August Second Saturday at the Alcott will be featuring Cheyenne Banda and Xavier Gayden who are both very fantastic Artists with different Art backgrounds. They have their own unique styles and processes.

Cheyenne Banda is a self taught mixed media Artist: I’ve been drawing since I can remember, I was a very shy and quiet kid and art has helped me to find my voice. It was an escape for me for a long time and I needed a place to get out what was in my head. Art helps me connect with others, in a way I sometimes can’t with words, and I think it's a beautiful thing. Hopefully I can inspire others like me to find their voice.

Xavier Gayden: I've been doing art for as long as I can remember. It is always been my source of relief and comfort. through my art I've been able to create and develop my own world. I've even developed characters based around my real life and my life experiences each character brings their own flavor and believes to my art that make them fly off the page. Each character has there own color that surrounds them throughout each picture to help convey how they feel or what they are thinking. Some support the Arts and see some awesome pieces of Art. Xavier uses Paper and Watercolors.

Galleries open at 6-8:30pm with a Reception starting at 6:30 . The Alcott is NOT ADA Accessible, sorry for any inconvenience. 913-233-2787
